The appreciation files :)

I dabble in abit of bollywood cinema from time to time. I'm currently in my 'in' phase after taking a 3 year break mostly cos of uni. Anyway, now I'm back and just appreciating all these pretty faces more than ever.

Hrithik Roshan *dream eyes* OMG how gorgeous is he??!! And he's got tons of personality too, it's not all looks here!

Shah Rukh Khan - my old favourite. He's more a legend now (I think).

Few years ago, I couldn't get enough of King Khan, but maybe it's cos I haven't watched any of his movies lately, or maybe it's due to the fact that there's so many promising new comers right now, that he seems to be fading into the background. I hope it's not the latter.

Now that I've mentioned new comers, how's Ranbir Kapoor for ya! I first saw him in the movie Sawarya (which was a meh movie), then again saw him 3 years later in Wake Up Sid. Ah that was really good, it's a movie about growing up and becoming your own person. Needless to say I loved it! And Ranbir wasn't bad either :) And unlike Hrithik or Shah Rukh Khan - there's something very indian about him...

Too sexy for this shot.

Time to give up

I never wanted to be one of those people that spent their free time thinking, dreaming about work. But that's exactly what's happened. Some friends and I were at Matt's going away and about 90% of the conversation was about work. I guess it could be because all the people I knew there were from work, but still isn't it weird that we end a whole week of work, and still talk about it. I know it makes sense cos work is a huge component of our lives right now. It's the same when we were in uni i guess, I would always be thinking of some assignment or test that was coming up.

Lol I'm still talking about work and it's still a monday! Hate mondays! and since I'm saving my RDOs for my next trip, I'm stuck working 10 day fortnights (as apposed to 9 day fortnights)...i know i know, some people don't have that option even, but that's the beauty of working for Council.

We were at Little Creatures on Brunswick St, Melbourne for Matt's going away last friday. He should feel so lucky, he gets to travel and play sport on his holiday. Wow, wish I had skills like that. I bet if i tried my skill would be racing cars, haha. Could be like Frankie Muniz..oh wait - except for one fact - Not loaded enough for that career!

Remember me talking about my USA trip? I still haven't shown my parents the photos (2 months later), basically cos I know they won't approve of who I went with, I know I should have been honest and upfront about it, and it hurts that there's this big secret now. But I think it's too late to tell them now anyway. This was basically Matts last conversation with me, how I should be upfront with them, and not fear their reaction. He made me feel so guilty for what I did, but I agree with him. I mean he has a point - if some time in the future if I wanted to travel by myself or with someone they wouldn't approve of - am I just not going to go? Or would I be stuck having to formulate a lie again just to get away?

Anyway, now I'm always on edge cos if someone really wanted to they could just look find out the truth. But see thats the thing with me, I never wanted this to be such an elaborate lie, so my thing is on the surface everything will seem fine and true, but if you look deeper - you'll find out the truth. I think subconsciously i just want them to know, but I'm just too scared of the repercussions to tell them myself.

This is actually a photo of our hotels
(Mirage, Vegas) keycard.
I'm so confused about this situation! I lost my best friend because of this, I didn't tell any of my girlfriends who I was really going with. But I told my work friends, long story short - they had to know, whereas my girlfriends didn't need to know. Anyway, when I got back from my trip, I put the photos up on facebook, and L discovered who I had really gone with, she just lost it with me. She messaged me immediately saying - can't believe you lied to my face, etc. My reasoning is that she hates the person I went with, so if I had told her the truth there would have been months of teasing and torture on me, and the other reason was, the girls are too close to my siblings and in the past when I've told the girls something in confidence, my siblings have always been able to get them to 'slip up' and let them know. And this was just one thing I could NOT have them slip up. So I chose not to tell them. Fair?

I explained this to L when I got back. Plus I was never going to not tell them. Like I said it was never meant to be an elaborate lie. So by the time I landed, 2 of my friends had already discovered the truth due to some not so discrete status updates (lol me and my friend had the same status' most times), anyway they weren't mad. It was only L that just lost it at me! I don't understand how some of the girls are cool with it, I mean they understand why I did what I did, yet L chooses to be really childish. I just want her to get over it. I think she's one of those people that just loves to pick on one thing when people mess up and just use it against them until she knows they feel so bad about it. I already gave her everything she wanted, I apologised, I explained the reasoning, I did everything I thought was good enough to make her not be mad with me. Yet she still is.

I don't really know what else to do. She deleted me as a facebook friend and sent me a msg saying 'consider our friendship OFFICIALLY OVER' lol and I'm not even exaggerating. So you can see that she's abit of a drama queen. And this msg was all because I had 'liked' something on facebook. She thought it was about her, when in reality it had nothing to do with her!

I think I've done my part with her. I'm doubtful if we can get past this, but healing requires time, and I hope that'll be enough for her. I've moved on, I can look at this, acknowledge the wrong in it, but still be able to laugh at the situation, and I hope one day she'll reach that point. If not, I'll just consider it her loss.

What happened in Vegas....

The 3rd and final leg of the USA trip was a stopover in Las Vegas. We flew from San Francisco to Vegas and landed at 8.30pm at night, I was quite annoyed as I had a window seat on the plane, the setting was perfect for me to get see the bright lights of Vegas as we were landing, but the lady next to me thought it was the perfect time to start talking to me! ahh! And I didn't want to be rude and snobby, so I started talking to her too, and basically only caught glimpses of the Vegas lights!!

We ended up getting onto a shuttle bus, I think it was $20 return, Las Vegas airport is just 10 minutes from the Las Vegas Boulevard (the main strip), how convenient. Oh and the funniest thing - for the way too keen gamblers Vegas airport has pokies machines set up inside...lol.

Las Vegas Strip
We had booked our hotel - The Mirage for US$330 for both of us. This was actually the cheapest of all the hotels on this trip, and it's true Vegas has really good accommodation deals. The Mirage had a really good location, it was basically at the centre of the strip and surrounded by some of the other major hotel chains - like the Venetian and Treasure Island.

What was really unexpected was the change in temperature, I mean LA and San Fran were cold, so I didn't really expect the boiling conditions of Vegas, and man was it hot! So hot that the hotels had misted water spray systems near the entries just to cool people down.

This was the most exciting city of this whole trip to me, first night in Vegas, we walked around, explored the surroundings, mainly Caesars Palace, and the Forum shops...this place is huge!! and so grand! I just loved it. Theres tons of people who work around this area just promoting their different clubs, we were given this deal to buy 2 frozen margaritas for $10, and we thought that was a bargain..so we immediately went into this bar and got our drink on! haha...it was late at this stage and we ended up heading back to the hotel..oh the maccas was right in front of our hotel, and they have $1 McChicken burgers! wooahh never came across a maccas deal that cheap! needless to say we had McChickens for dinner that night (plus about 3 more times in the coming days :P)

View from the Mirage's hotel room
Since I had had the margaritas that first night, I just could not fall asleep, I was chatting away til about 4am the next morning (and probably annoyed the hell out of my friend who I forced to stay awake with me!).

Hoover Dam
The next day, Sunday, we had pre-purchased a tour package for the Grand Canyon which included a helicopter landing at the base, a boat ride along the Colorado River, and the Skywalk with transfers to and from the hotel by coach. It was fairly expensive -$270. But well worth it. I mean you got to visit the Grand Canyon at least once in your life, right! I think we had a 8am pick up from the Mirage, and from here from memory I think we arrived at the Grand Canyon West around 11am.

First up, was the helicopter ride, after weighing us, they grouped us and gave us designated seating on the helicopter, we scored FRONT SEATS!! woo! It was a 6 seater helicopter, so a family of 4 were at the back.

Helicopter ride across the Grand Canyon
Flying through the depths of the Canyon is a feeling of awe - the sheer magnitude of what you're doing and seeing is amazing, I mean it's just breathtaking.  After landing, we were ushered onto a small power boat, the captain took us along the Colorado River for some time, it was very peaceful when he cut of the engine.

Landing at the base of the Grand Canyon
The Skywalk was the biggest disappointment, wasted about $36 on this thing! We barely spent 5 minutes on it. Sure the floor is made from some heavy duty glass and if you have a fear of heights or trust i guess you'll have a hard time walking on the glass. But seriously, the whole stetch of the Skywalk was barely 50m, and there's really not much to do up there. We werent even allowed to take our cameras on it so all we could do was appreciate the structural integrity of the Skywalk, and if it's appreciating the Canyon, nothing's gonna compare to the helicopter ride!

Grand Canyon West

The Skywalk was the last stop, before we headed back to the coach that took us back to the hotel, we left the Canyon around 3pm and arrived at the Mirage around 6.30pm. Good trip.

Since it's so dehydrating-ly hot in Vegas, we ended up staying indoors til the sun and heat went away, we decided to go to Madame Tussands (which was just across the street at The Venetian).

Madame Tussands, Venetian
I've been to Madame Tussands in Hong Kong before, and have to say the Hong Kong MT has so much more celebrities (even though i didn't know most of them, we still took about 4 hours to get through all of it), but in Vegas we barely spent an hour inside. But the good thing was I knew 95% of the celebrities in it. I was excited to see Britney Spears and JLo, oh but JLo did not look like the JLo i know, i dont know. Plus she looked so-so skinny. I loved Julia Roberts' wax figure. Oh and one of my favs was the Snoop Dogg setting ^_^

The rest of night is all a blur to me, we ended up doing ONE shot of Tequila at Casino Royale, then we walked towards Harrah's, we spotted alot of people walking around with half yards, so we spotted a stand selling them outside a club near Harrah's. There happened to be a street break dancing show just outside so we stayed and watched for about 10 minutes. By this stage I was gone, the shot in combination with the half yard was so strong for me, I could barely walk straight, my friend thought it was best to head back to the hotel at this stage, good thing too as I ended up chucking 3 times in the room!! ewww...

Volcano at The Mirage
The next day, waking up in Vegas was NOT fun, besides being severely embarrassed and not really knowing what exactly happened and having to be filled in by my friend. I promised myself that I would never drink excessively ever again! We stayed in on that Monday, basically cos we were both still recovering from the previous night, and cos it was way too hot to go out. However that night we tried to catch all the free shows at the hotels, our hotel (the Mirage) had the volcano show. You can feel the heat emitting from the exploding volcano, it was pretty intense. Then we walked to the Bellagio to catch the last show for the Fountains of Bellagio. OMG, was this worth it! This was my favourite show, it's so cool. Plus the Bellagio is a really classy hotel, I loved the interior of it. They had this really cool garden in it.

Fountains of Bellagio
And that was how we spent our last night in Vegas, my friend was feeling abit exhausted so we had to call it an early night. On the last day, I went out and finally really gambled (as in at a roulettes table, not pokies), I didn't win! But oh well, i didn't care, I really needed to get some Mirage chips cos my sister had asked me to bring her back some. Lol. I miss Vegas, I had so much fun here.
Bellagio Foyer

Tips for travellers
1. Don't drink excessively, unless there's some one there to look after you
2. Don't drink tap water
3. Don't be tempted to gamble beyond your limit
4. Don't be fooled by the maps, we made that mistake where you think everything's close to each other, but in reality, these buildings are so humungous that you're actually walking for kms before you reach your destination. See we could see the Bellagio from our hotel and we started walking there, but in reality it was probably more than a km away. And in the heat of Vegas, it's very easy to get exhausted.
5. Bottom line, have fun!!

We left Vegas around midday on Tuesday, and landed at LAX around 5pm. We had decided to change our plans and head back to Melbourne on the same day, as our original plan of leaving LA on Wednesday had fallen through as the flight appeared to be over booked. So we were put on stand by for the Tuesday 11pm flight. What a wait! We had 5 hours at Tom Bradley Terminal at LAX (this is way better than the LAX main terminals i found). After about 5 hours of waiting, the Qantas crew called our names, we ended up getting business class tickets back to Melbourne. I ended up seating on the upper deck of the A380!! What an experience. Thanks to my friend for hooking me up!

I caused quite a stir at home, as I hadn't told my parents about my change of plans and I had gone missing during my 16 hour flight. Feel so bad about that! But they were happy to have me back. I think. Well I had some explaining to do, but after that they were happy to know everything was alright. :) Best-trip-ever!!

Golden San Francisco

Following on from Los Angeles (after we had late night ice cream, which made me sick right the next day :(), we took the a flight from LAX to SFO. First thoughts about San Fran were that it seemed to have had a lot of colour, it appeared old as we were passing through towns on the train. But once we were in Fisherman Wharf it was so different, there were more high rise building, but still had the water and trees. I loved it! We stayed at the Hyatt Regency for AUD$429 for 2 people. See we thought it was worth it given the location, but San Fran is abit compacted and it's very easy to get from one place to the other. We ended up walking to most of the places. Ah i didn't get to ride on those cable cars! haha. I was so sick in San Fran and it didnt help that this place had the sea breeze blowing all the time.

First day, we decided to be lazy and just walked to Union Square and watched 'Avatar -The Last Airbender' in Extreme-D. Lol, what a waste of time!! I fell asleep towards the end, it could be a result of the meds i was on, but still, the movie was way too long! And this is coming from a fan of the Avatar Series.

I got so excited when I saw a Victoria's Secret store, we dont have these in Melbourne or any place in Australia!! I spent a (little) mulla there!

Day 2 in San Fran, still sick, but soldiered on. Was forced to buy a proper 'san fransisco' jumper (that everyone was wearing!) We walked all the way to Lombard St (the worlds crookedest street) man is this street so beautiful and picturesque! So so pretty.

The rest of the day had us booked into an Alkatraz Tour (which only cost me US$26), we were ferried off to the island, and given head sets that led us through the island with narrations on the history of the place. I did get bored listening to this. Im sorry, but prison history never fascinated me. I would have been more intrigued if they had focused on the ghost stories, but nah they just told us about different areas of the prison, and mentioned a few famous names...meh.  Plus it was pretty gross seeing the facilities that the prisoners had, yep this was my first time in a prison. So noobie speaking here :P We only spent about 2 hours on the island before we took the ferry back to the mainland, we were walking around trying to find Coit Tower, we could see it peering above everything else, haha and we thought we could locate it without a map. Mistake! We took some sidestreets and somehow did manage to find it, but man was it a total workout!
Since we still hadnt been to the Golden Gate Bridge, the main attraction of San Fran and it was already Day 3, and we had a flight at 7pm flight to catch. It was a really nice, sunny Saturday (thank god, cos i was still sick) that day, we hired some bikes from Fishermans Wharf, they directed us towards the Bridge (pretty useless instructions, have to say) we ended up just following the trail of cyclists all heading towards the bridge. I truly recommend doing this, it's just that feeling of freedom, everything just seems easy (until you crash into something...haha but still..). I cycled around Angkor Wat last Decemeber, and that was amazing too! Maybe i should just cycle when i go on holiday!

We cycled to the other side of the bridge, and then just cycled back, it was so cold though, but yet so hot cos we'd been cycling for a few hours by that stage. What a workout! By this time it was around 4pm and we had to be on a train at 4.30pm. We check out and rush to the train, which thank god arrived on queue and we were off to the Airport. Aww bye bye San Francisco. I will be back :)

"I left my heart in San Fracisco,
High on a hill, it calls to me
To be where little cable cars climb halfway to the stars
The morning fog may chill the air, I don't care

Ny love waits there in San Francisco
Above the blue and windy sea
When I come home to you, San Francisco
You golden sun will shine for me"

Los Angeles

It's been nearly 2 months since my awesome US trip. I still haven't got around to clearing out some of the junk i collected as souveniers in the States. Honestly I still have receipts for lunch at Disneyland! I have the inside of the fortune cookie (which said " Pleasure awaits your company" lol, and pleasure did certainly await my company :P)

LAX Airport, 5.07.2010

We went to Los Angeles, San Francisco and Las Vegas. That's the itinerary that was set out, it was always going to be a short trip. It had to be short as I had spent 6 weeks in Dec/Jan travelling around South East Asia (which basically funnelled most of my savings as a working student..but well worth it..i'll get to that story sometime in the future..). So the US trip was basically planned as 10 days. We set out on business class seats on Qantas (amazing!) the hosties actually greet you with your names..lol, plus out seats were the fully reclinable type, we had the flat beds (heaven :)) although I didn't really utilise the beds, come on the flight was at 10am and Im not a day sleeper! Anyway 16 hours later we land at LAX, it's much colder than I expected, good thing I have a knack of wearing scarves. We find a shuttle to get to our hotel, the Hilton at Anaheim (ohhh yehh..it was all good hotels at great locations on this trip...). We only paid US$350, which means i only paid half of that for 3 nights. Since it's the same morning in Anaheim, we set out to Disneyland immediately, we're little troopers seriously...there was no jet lag, nothing, we were just so excited to get out there, but this was my second time to a Disneyland (I've been to the one in Hong Kong in 2005 with the family). So I was subconsciously comparing the two experiences, I have to say I've grown up since my time 5 years ago, and felt everything was just abit too childish for me. Maybe I'll go to the one in Paris or Florida when I have kids and it'll be a more fulfilling experience.

Disneyland, Anaheim 5.07.2010 -
Fireworks with my dodgy camera

We waited so long in the lines, i think it was school holidays or something, we even contemplated whether or not to go back to the hotel, just to rest our feet, cos ONE of us wasn't used to walking! haha...anyway I remember the fireworks at the Hong Kong Disneyland and that was a real highlight to look forward to at this Disneyland, and they did not disappoint! They had this heart shaped fireworks, they only set it off once, must be expensive or something, I missed taking a photo the first time and was waiting for my chance if it appeared again, but it never did. Oh well.

Day 2 was dedicated to Disneylands California Adventure Park, which is just the other side of Disneyland. I liked CAP better than Disneyland, it's more the adult version, plus they had a mad roller coller, California Scream. I was literally shivering in my boots when we were waiting in the queue. I had to be pacified by my friend, and then we got on, straped up, I shut my eyes, and did not open them til we slowed down. (I'm a big baby, I know...:P).

Paradise Pier, California Adventure Park. 6.7.10
Then we got ourselves a fast pass and went on it about 4 more times, by the second and third time, not only had I opened my eyes, I was posing for the cameras..lol...I think I'm officially over my fear of roller coasters. Oh, the other ride that had me shaking was the California Boomer, it's like DreamWorlds Giant Drop but reversed, if that makes sense. It more propels you upwards, and then brings you down. Now that was scary, and what's scary was that I was watching some of the girls get off, and they seemed to be close to tears, which had me so sooo worried, that besides whinging to my friend, some of the girls who were waiting in line with us thought it was wise to help me calm down. Man, I look like the biggest wimp right now! But at least I did it all!
Hollywood Tower of Terror
The other extreme ride was the Hollywoods Tower of Terror, god this was bad! Becausewe could hear the screams of people inside this building, and it was just that sinking feeling setting inside me again, not even the fact that I had overcome the fear of roller coasters could help me then.
So we line up for the Tower of Terror, they put us into a dark room with a tv with some movie playing, which we were meant to watch. But I was so terrified that the floor of this "room" would drop any second (just cos we were adamantly told to step away from the walls of the room, and to stay within this designated area, and it did not help that my friend thought it was funny to feed my fear. I was clutching to my friend half the time. But it was for nothing, the room did not  drop or anything, after the movie finished, we were taken to the 'real' ride. We ended up getting front seats on this ride, and man was it terrifying. It's pretty dark and we didn't really realise how high we really were. I think it was the 13th floor or something, and they would drop us down so hard and fast. I was just glad to get out of that without heart palpitations...

Aladdin <3 Genie!
California Adventure Park also had the Aladdin show. That was really funny. Highly recommend it, we timed it so perfectly (not on purpose lol) that we hardly had to line up, we made it to the mezzanine level, which we preferred actually. But it's a good laugh.

The longest line was for the Toy Story ride, I think we waited close to an hour for this, and i ended up losing! Sigh! I got 74,600, and my accuracy is abysmal.

Oh and similar to the Fireworks at Disneyland, CAP also has 'World of Colour' featured at night. I enjoyed this too, but my friend didn't I think. It's pretty, but it's not exactly wow amazing. I reckon Singapores Sentosa Islands 'Songs under the Sea' had a bigger wow factor for me..but having said that I enjoyed World of Colour, and we were basically in the wet zone, so I was trying really hard to protect my camera half the time. But how amazing is that picture..considering that I took it with my camera that doesn't function well after the sun goes down!
World of Colour

Day 3 was dedicated to Universal Studios. We had prebooked the Greyline Tour + Front of Line passes for US$143. Which basically meant they transported us from our hotels to Universal Studios. The Front of Line passes didn't really come in handy til maybe late afternoon when there were many more people lining up. The best rides were the Simpsons Ride - just purely because of the special features, and perhaps the Universal Studios tour itself which had the pretty cool King Kong ride. Other than that there wasnt an aweful lot to do here. Citywalk was just outside, and we ended up watching the "Blackstreet Boys" for awhile, they were quite entertaining actually.

That night we were both craving icecream at about 10pm, so a late night stroll led us to Cold Storage which had the most amazing mix and match icecreams. They have a cake batter flavour! mmmm nom nom nom

The Other Guys

 *May contain spoilers*
If you want some brainless comedy the The other Guys is heaven, and that's exactly what we wanted last night. If you ask me what exactly was funny in this movie, possibly the high amounts of sugar I had just before I watched it made everything seem 3 times funnier than perhaps it really was. From Samuel L Jacksons narration to Will Ferrals 'pimp' persona i was loling so hard. Oh the tuna story had me pissing myself, and not to mention the polished wooden gun that was returned to Will Ferral. Overall it was an ok movie, it seemed like it was more of how funny can we make this scene regardless of the plot of the movie. Anyway it was good seeing it as I scored some free tickets to see it, booyeh!

Oh yeh Eva Mendes looked ho-ot! Im straight but girl she looked so damn fine. Lol at Mark Walhbergs reaction everytime he was even thinking about her..haha
*End possible spoilers*

I had possibly one of the worst days at work yesterday. In our fortnightly team meeting, G bought up the fact that I was confused about who to listen to in regards to one of my projects, just because theres 3 bosses working on this, and each one of them had a different opinion about the layout of the project. So it wasn't me being alzy or anything, but this project is already 3 months behind schedule, I had already done the detailed design and NOW they want to change things around. It just pissed me off. Plus if Mr. Rs changes were made I knew for sure that once I asked Mr.J about the changes he would appose to them, and then I'll be back to square 1, changing things back to the original. Sigh. So G brought it up, and it was kind of a big blow out in this team meeting. I so did not want the meeting to be the place where this was discussed. In the end Mr. J overpowered Mr.R and that was settled. Then I spent 3 hours with Mr.J going through things that we had already gone through at 4 months ago. C'est le vie.

Oh now that I have all the free time in the world, besides trying to sell my car, Audi A4 2009 model, warrantly remaning on car - if anyones interested?? , one my friends suggested that I try learning a language in my spare time. I'm seriously considering it this time, it's a toss up between spanish and french. I think i might go with spanish, just so I might be able to understand Pitbull's lyrics or sing along with Shakira to Waka Waka...

Love Games

Should you tell someone to forget about a guy that she has been in love with for awhile, knowing that the guy does not share the same intentions, or would you feed your friends fantasies and give her hope and strength to make it through her days. Sigh. Why are guys so stupid! I wish she would wake up and realise he doesn't love her, he's just using her for his benefit, and she deserves so much better.

Guys out there, if you don't want some sort of relationship why keep texting at 2am in the morning and hang out 24/7 and why not make it clear so that the girl doesn't get some false hope of something more than a friendship. Or for the girls, refer to "He's just not that into you". I love the line where Alex goes "So trust me when I say if a guy is treating you like he doesn't give a shit, he genuinely doesn't give a shit. No exceptions". If only that was't every girls weakness. And most people don't see it as such til it's over, and then you get really mad.

I had this happen to me a few months ago too, and my first two weeks post realisation I went through some really depressing thoughts, it took two weeks, some hard clubbing to get past the fact. I like to think I'm over it though but i think i'm off love for some time now. I don't ever want to go through that heartache ever again, it was the first time that i was completely honest about these things with someone and it wasn't a exactly fairytale. I told my best friends this, and they all agreed that it was better to find out regardless of the outcome rather than waiting for that day that would never come. I agree.
I'm waiting for the anger to come, but I'm just not mad at him.

Apparently there are 5 stages of recovery post break up,
1. Denial
2. Anger/Resentment
3. Bargaining
4. Depression
5. Acceptance

I seem to have breezed through denial and anger, I've always accepted what happened, but that's just me, I will always try to move on from it, it'll just be another lesson to be filed under "Live, Love and Learn" I would much rather throw myself out there and get hurt rather than not experience life at all as said by Gigi quite aptly "I may dissect each little thing and put myself out there so much but at least that means that I still care. Oh! You've think you won because women are expendable to you. You may not get hurt or make an ass of yourself that way but you don't fall in love that way either. You have not won. You're alone. I may do a lot of stupid shit but I'm still a lot closer to love than you are."

Dre and Dash

I can't believe it's taken me almost 9 years to discover this song! Dr Dre's Forget about Dre is soooo good! Although if you see me you'll be surprised that i like music like that...but I'm open to all kinds of music. People give me weird looks when I say i listen to asian music too, but music is universal come on people you dont need to understand the lyrics to enjoy the beat :)

How gorgeous is Kim Kardashian?! I've been watching Keeping up with the Kardashians on Sidereel for 5 seasons. Yes yes, judge me for watching tv fodder but i find it quite entertaining and all the girls have progressed so much in their lives.

Love her body. Ok so i'll been slacking off from gyming these days, ok back to the gym, these pics are meant to be inspiring but they are making me depressed..need to get my body in shape by december - that's the goal, stuff the new years resolution, new goal lose 10kgs by December, go to gym 3 religiously
3 times a week! And control food intake!

On the last episode of Keeping up with the Kardashians, Kris hired a bodyguard for Kim and Khloe got kind of annoyed at her and asked "why did Kim get one, is it cos she's the prettiest" lol a little competition never hurt anyone. But i love how the girls are so competitive with each other.

I used to be in competition alot, but mainly with myself. Sad to say that my siblings although i know they felt the pressure to beat me, never really got there academically. But what they couldn't do academically, they sure beat me socially. Oh well. All in the past.

"Time can not wait to make us wise,
We must hurry as it flies"

Surprise!!

Oaks Precint, Adelaide

We flew on Wednesday night to Adelaide, 2 flights descending as I took a Jetstar flight, while the 3 man wolf pack took Tiger (aptly named i guess). First point of discussion was car hire from Adelaide Airport. We all decided on a Hyundai Getz and after naming her Ky-lee we set off for our apartment (Oaks Precint). This place was pretty cool. Brand new, and i only paid $190 for 3 nights stay in a 2 bedroom apartment.

After quickly dumping our baggage in the apt, we headed of to meet Hashbrown, under the pretence of MG being in Adelaide for a few hours and our mum had given Hashbrown something. So MG was to deliver a package (which we forgot to give to him, but went unnoticed by Hashbrown). N and I hid behind a billboard infront of Adelaide Museum, and D was waiting behind a car while MG and Hashbrown were walking towards him. It was funny when we asked her about the surprise later, she said she noticed someone dodgy near that car, lol. Failwhale!

Then it was my turn. After Ns dissapproval of me sharing his hiding spot combined with his fear of me blowing his cover, i was pushed into the spotlight. Hashbrown noticed me  walking upto her and was sooo surprised! She expected D since his best friend MG was there, but did not think I'll be there! So yayay!!

Then the biggest surprise, we started walking away from Ns hiding spot, Hashbrown keeps looking back, and D questions her "Are you expecting more people, are we not enough" lol, then shouts out to a hooded guy walking parallel to us but about 10 metres away " Yo you in the hoodie" and bam! N pulls off his hoodie and Hashbrown is in disbelief and runs to N...lol...that was the ultimate surprise.

I'm glad we didn't end up surprising her at the casino, cos we sure let the whole street know what was happening. LoL, the wolfs are really loud!

Im really loving Love in this Club - Remixed with Usher and Beyonce...say wassup..

After blowing some money at SkyCity (the one place we visited multiple times on this trip). Some shopping was had on Rundle Mall too, the only 'major' strip that we knew off.

Adelaide is alright, although it had a odd number of statues, quite alot of them just scattered around the city, for some odd reason. Weird, maybe there's alot of Adelaidens that need to be monumentinised. Next time I go, I'll make it my mission to take a picture of all of them. Challenge accepted. . .

Random Sign. But totally agree :D
